The upcoming Miss Universe Thailand 2021 pageant will be the first to feature NFTs as part of the competition. The pageant has teamed up with Bitkub Capital Group Holdings, a Thai cryptocurrency exchange aimed at bridging the gap between “non-tech users” and the blockchain. The exchange provides multi-crypto wallets and is designed to be easy to operate.
Now, the Bitkub Group is bringing the blockchain to beauty pageants with NFTs and digital asset solutions.
According to a statement, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Miss Universe Thailand 2021 pageant “aims to re-establish its role of being a beacon of hope and trust for the masses, while also empowering belief through its concept of “Power of Passion”. The winner of the pageant will go on to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel.
